The Gamemakers
How do the Gamemakers control the environment and "entertainment value" of the Games? How does knowing she is being manipulated for the pleasure of the audience affect Katniss? How would it affect you? Does knowing she is on live TV make Katniss behave differently than she would otherwise? How? Be sure to explain your answer.

The gamemakers can change the game at any given moment. Katniss tries to not become vicious because she knows that Prim is watching her and looks up to her, and if she wins than she will have to see Prim and she wants to stay a loving sister.

The gamemakers are the peoplethat run the hunger games and controll it. If the people in the capitol think that the games are becoming boring they can create something to make it interestin. They made the fire that burned a lot of people in the games and hurt katniss a lot.

The Gamemakers are people that can change the environment to anything at any time. She knows it and she thinks it is unfair that she has to suffer for other people's enjoyment. This happened with the fire and the fire balls. I would not like it at all because I could injury myself very badly!

I agree with you Munaf, I do agree that Gamemakers control the enviornment. With doing so, it can help people and make people suffer. Katniss probably hates the fact that they could kill anyone. The experiance with the fireballs made her very scared about the future, she cold get hurt even more by them. But since she is on TV, she doesn't want to show that she is weak so she tries not to cry or show that it hurts.

I agree with Munaf too, I agree because the Gamemakers can control the environment. I may help people with their strengths but otherwise it can cost them their lives. I don't think Katniss really enjoys killing people, but to keep herself alive I think she might be okay with it just to keep herself alive. I also think Katniss doesn't really enjoy being on live TV getting recorded to kill other tributes that could be younger then you. Having said that, I think she doesn't want to look weak or an easy kill.

The Gamemakers are like the leaders running the Hunger Games so they have to make their reputation and creation work and they do that by controling the weather and what goes on. the gamemakers saw that the action wasn't good enough so they had to amp it up with the fire. Also the fact that the games are the Capitols way of saying "We control you!" to the disricts makes the games even more important. All in all if it wasn't for the gamemakers there would be no Hunger Games.

I agree with you Jordan that the gamemakers use their power to say we get to control you. The gamemakers are definitly amping things up for the auidence to watch. I would feel cheated by this because the gamemakers basicly get to control the output of the games. Katniss's life is definitly affected by this as she is always thinking about what the gamemakers might do next. How would you personally feel if this was happening to you?

The game makers are demented and have wires loose. They have the powers to end every tributes life with the click of a button and they don't feel anything. How can they not feel any guilt knowing that that person has a life and their family might starve without them! That is so cruel!

The gamemakers can change the way the Hunger Games are plyed at any time to suit the audience of the capitol. This has an effect on Katniss because she does not want to die on behalf of the capitol. Her family would not like to see her suffer of any sort to comprimise the chance of her returning home. Katniss does not act differently due to cameras watching her and seeing her mistakes, even injuries.

The gamemakers pretty much run the Hunger Games, therefore they can control everything that has to do with the games. She takes being manipulated as a bad thing and she works from it. I think i would get angry at it and do good in the Hunger Games. I think it doesnt affect her being on TV. I think this becuase if she doesn't think about it, it won't affect her.

The game makers are incharge of the whole Hunger Games. If they want to change some thing they will. To them it must be interesting. In the Hunger Games Katniss acts alittle different. She is more vicious then normal, but she wants to show Prim she still cares about her.

The game makers make certain that the hunger games never get boring by changeing the tempatures and controling the weather the tributes never know whats going to hit them so when the audiences see them they are confused so it causes more drama which is a lot of what the hunger games are about to Katniss this means never get used to anything to fast so she can always be prepared I myself would have the ssme mentality

the game makers make the game hard and not easy to get things. the tempetures change and so does the enviroment. katniss is taking her time and being careful. she has teamed up with rue and they both are helping eachother.

The gamemakers get what they want anyway they want it. They controll the games and like an example they created that huge wall of fire. Katniss then realizes that they can do that and tries to get out of there. Katniss is also fighting against the gamemakers because they could make her die but she wants to hold her promise to Prim.

I think it is very interesting how the game makers "control" the game. It is cool how they can start a fire out of nowhere. I feel that it is wrong to watch people fight to there death. And i think it would make it ten times worse knowing that people are watching me fight for my life as entertainment. If there was a show like this I would refuse to watch it because knowing that some one in my community is getting killed for no reason.

I think it's a good idea of the game makers, but I know that I would be really mad if I were in the arena. The fact that a game maker could kill me if they wanted to at anytime. Also the fact that it's on live Tv would be even worse, because I would be killed for entertainment. But, unlike Katniss I would have showed emotion.

The gamemakers control the enviroment by producing the fire, playing with the temperature, by creating the storm, by drying up all the water, and by releasing the wild dogs. Katniss is affected by always thinking about what the gamemakers might to next, always worried. I would feel cheated because it doesn't seem fair that the Hunger Games isn't true survival, that the outcome is just planned somewhat. By Katniss knowing she's on TV, she behaves differently because she doesn't say certain things (like her illegal poaching to Peeta) and by playing up the romance with Peeta.

In the arena the gamemakers can and will change the enviorment to make citizens of panam enjoy the games. I think that Katniss knows that the gamemakers can change the enviorment so she will be more carefull. If I was in the hunger games and knew that the gamemakers could change the enviorment I would be more carefull. I think since katniss is on tv she does not want to kill people because prim is watching and others.

the gamemakers make sure to keep the games interesting for everybody watching back in the districts. they do things to bring people together and make then fight more like the fire and the feast. katniss makes it look like she is in love with peeta so that they can have more sponsors and receive more gifts to help them win. she is also cautious because she knows that prim might be watching and doesnt want to diapoint her. prim would never let her go down without a fight.

The gamemakers have special state of the art technology hid all around the area. They use this to drive the tributes together. She can tell she is being manipulated when the fire cannon fire right at here which leads her to the Careers. She knows this and is always perpared in case something like it were to happen again. Being on live TV make Katniss not give away some of her past and makes her not say somethings about the capital. It also means that she does a little more smiling to seem happy to the people in the capital and her sponsers. It makes her seem like the happy little girl she was in the interveie

ReplyDeleteThe game makers control what the environment is in the hunger games so they can keep the tributes close to keep entertaining the capitol. The fire made katniss run closer to the other tributes, that is what keeps entertaining the capitol.i think having katniss be manipulated makes her angry that they are just using her as a toy to entertain. if i was in katniss' position i would be angry and sad because, like i said before i am just being used as a toy and i would be sad/depressed because there is nothing i can do to try to stop it or else they will kill me.

ReplyDeleteThe game makers job is to make the hunger games interesting. So that means they can do any thing they want to make it interesting to the veiwers. Like how they had the fire were katniss was. Katniss know not to be on a killing rampage, only because prim might be watching and prim looks up to katniss.

The Gamemakers want to make the game more intense by doing things like changing the climate and forcing contestants to fight each other. Knowing this makes Katniss feel like shes just a pawn in a chess match. This would infuriate me knowing that the Gamemakers are getting their amusement over my pain.

The Gamemakers control the games by sending in a fire storm to a tidal wave. They control it by how the capitol is reacting no anybody else from the districts. It makes Katniss feel like she is in a pawn in a chess game. It makes her feel uncomfortable and act differently in some ways. For example she wants to kill people who hurts her loved ones.

The gamemakers can control anythinig in the arena, like sending out weird animals or in Katniss' case. Fire. It gave Katniss a huge burn on her calf. I would have just been so angry at them and i would have looked straight into the camera and said, im not your game piece. Knowing that she is on tv does effect how she behaves, she makes sure they dont see her emotions because she doesnt want them to think that they control her and her feelings no way.

The gamemakers control every thing that goes on in that arena like createing a forest fire or draining out the river where katniss finds peeta. katniss knowing shes on TV makes her act differently around peeta to get sponcers. if i where katniss i would be the same way because she act like that to get sponcers and i think that that is very smart.

The Gamemakers can control everything in the arena except the people in it. They control the enivroment and what they can put in the enviroment. They can make stuff move and explode if they want. They can start fire they can do almost anything they want in the arena

gamemakers change the game several times. I think its fair. they should just let the kids kill eachother themselves without the capitols help. The fireballs were way un called for because katniss got hurt.

The gamemakers are the symbol of power or strength that the capitol possess' and this is a reminder of the strength of Panem. The Games are the effects of the rovolt of the districts towards the capitol. These gamemakers are a symbol of how the capitol runs the districts and the Games. Just like Panem rules over the districts the gamemakers rule over the tributes. Power is a delicate idea and here they use power to show the districts what the capitol can do. Hunger Games is a flashback from the revolt and power is how they do it.
